About

Golf Moldova is an independent guide to golf in Moldova. We write for visitors planning a trip, for people who play here, for expats and business travellers in Chișinău, and for anyone following how the game is developing in the country.

We aren't affiliated with any club, course or federation. When something is sponsored or we've been hosted, we say so in the post.

Name: Michael Peters
Coaching: UK PGA Level 1

Who runs Golf Moldova

I'm Michael Peters. I've lived in Moldova on and off since 2013, and my wife is Moldovan, so the country has long been a second home. I hold a UK PGA Level 1 coaching certificate and I've watched golf here grow from almost nothing to the clubs that exist today.

Away from golf, I'm the director of the IT company Mapsoft, and President of the Rotary Club Chișinău Cosmopolitan, Moldova's English-speaking Rotary club, for 2025–26 and 2026–27.

I started this site because finding reliable information about golf in Moldova is harder than it should be, whether you're visiting, living here or thinking of investing in the game.
